We have been informed that since the start of the campaign to stop the new lab at the University of Leicester, security has been trebled at the site.

It has been confirmed that several security units, complete with dogs, patrol the construction compund all night, every night. External security guards also visit the site four times an hour and regular visits from the police, four times a night, have also become the norm.

We condemn this waste of money, all of which could quite easily be pumped into alternative research to help save lives and cure diseases, not building a new animal abuse facility.
