We received the following report: El Al Israel Airlines on the 2nd Floor, 16 Upper Woburn Place, London, WC1H 0AF. Tel: 020 7121 1400 and 020 7121 1490 are a link in the chain of cruel trade in which monkeys are forcibly removed from their natural environment in Mauritius and flown to Mazor Farm in Israel, a breeding facility and then onto animal testing laboratories across the world. London activists showed their solidarity with the Close the Mazor Farm campaign by highlighting EL Al for their involvement in this cruel trade. Mazor Farm supply monkeys to HLS. The next protest was a regular one for London campaigners and was part of a SHAC day of action for beagles in labs - Fortress Investment Group at 5 Savile Row, W1 who provides the blood money loan to keep HLS killing 500 animals every day - over $70 million were secretly lent to HLS in 2006. But Fortress were tracked down and exposed for the greedy company they are. Activists were in fine voice and made sure everyone around Savile Row heard about Fortress' dirty deals with the animal torturers at HLS. (aka 'the beagle punchers'). Finally, we moved onto the other side of Oxford Street and went to Willmott Dixon Investments, 14 David Mews, Porter Street, W1 whose contracting arm of Willmott Dixon are involved with the new animal torture labs at Leicester University, this again was in solidarity for a day of action against Willmott Dixon because of their contract with Leicester Uni. While the staff hid in their offices, activists named and shamed WD for their dealings with animal torture. It was a good mix of demos, with support and interest from the public. London activists will continue to target animal abuse establishments and their collaborators until all are free from the injustice and cruelty. [Photos to follow shortly]
